How are these diamonds different than other diamonds?
Polished rough diamonds: an oxymoron? Most diamond rough are completely polished and cut into standard shapes (round, cushion etc). Polished rough diamonds are often only partially cut because the faceting is done according to the natural configuration of the stone in order to preserve their basic shape. These are rough which are found in mines with natural colored diamonds, and contain red, pink, green, brown, gray and peach colors.
White and traditional fancy colored diamonds tend to be more transparent, and transmit light. These diamonds are translucent (light passes partially through) and opaque (light does not pass through). The artistic inclusions in many of these enigmatic stones are arranged in patterns with picturesque scenes reminiscent of modern art or landscaping, further adding to their uniqueness.
